On 17 September, WHO/Europe will mark World Patient Safety Day focusing on the theme “Safe maternal and newborn care”. This is to highlight the significant burden of risks and harm women and newborns are exposed to when receiving unsafe care during childbirth.
Chronic disease prevention is a critical aspect of patient care at all risk levels, but becomes particularly important when a patient moves into rising risk. When that happens, clinicians need to employ targeted patient communication strategies to drive patient engagement with key lifestyle and healthy behavior changes.
Perkumpulan Obstetri dan Ginekologi Indonesia (POGI) Kalimantan Selatan (Kalsel) mengungkapkan selama pandemi sebanyak 147 ibu hamil di Kalsel terinfeksi Covid-19. Ketua POGI Kalsel Bambang Abimanyu mengatakan dari 147 ibu hamil tersebut, 7 diantaranya meninggal dunia.
Sebagai garda terdepan pelayanan kesehatan di tengah pandemi Covid-19 rumah sakit dengan segala fasilitas layanan kesehatan nya, diminta cepat dan tepat pelayanannya. Selain itu, dalam menangani pandemi yang sudah berjalan satu setengah tahun ini, rumah sakit juga dituntut tetap menjaga mutu pelayanan.
