Pemerintahan Presiden Joko Widodo telah menetapkan peraturan baru tentang kesehatan. Salah satu isinya ialah pengenaan cukai terhadap pangan olahan, termasuk pangan olahan siap saji.
Ketentuan itu tertuang dalam Pasal 194 Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 28 Tahun 2024 tentang Peraturan Pelaksanaan Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan.

Indonesia melalui Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) Nomor 28 Tahun 2024 tentang Pelaksanaan Undang Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2023 resmi menghapus praktik sunat pada perempuan. Ketentuan tersebut jelas tercantum dalam pasal 102 poin a sebagai salah satu upaya kesehatan reproduksi bayi, balita, dan anak prasekolah.
"Menghapus praktik sunat perempuan," demikian bunyi regulasi dalam PP yang diteken Presiden Joko Widodo, Jumat (27/4/2024).
